Colleen was born and raised in North Bay, Ontario. She is a graduate of the Canadore College Registered Practical Nursing Program. With over 30 years nursing experience, Colleen recently became an entrepreneur. Upon completion of several Diabetes Educator Courses she realized the need for Advanced/Diabetic Foot Care in our community. The name Thumbs Up Foot Care was inspired by her father, Mervin Males, who always had a smile and a thumbs up gesture for everyone

     Colleen loves the 1:1 interactions with her clients during their foot care sessions. "I became a nurse to help people. By providing foot care to my clients, I not only alleviate their pain, but help them to reach their full mobility potential. This allows them to maintain an independent and active lifestyle
